Deutsche Bank is a leading global investment bank and financial services company, and they are seeking an Associate within the Market Risk technology team. This role involves supporting and maintaining critical production platforms for market risk calculations and ensuring platform stability and incident resolution in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Support production Market Risk platforms across Unix-based environments, ensuring system availability and stability
- Monitor applications and infrastructure using tools such as Geneos and Splunk, and respond to alerts and incidents
- Perform incident, problem, and change management activities in line with ITIL processes
- Develop and maintain automation and support scripts using Shell and Python
- Support data flows and integrations involving Oracle, PL/SQL, Hadoop/HMS, Kafka, and MQ
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams to deliver controlled changes and platform improvements
Skills
- Hands-on experience supporting Unix/Linux-based production environments
- Practical experience with Python, Shell scripting, and basic automation
- Experience working with Oracle databases and PL/SQL
- Exposure to monitoring and scheduling tools such as Geneos, Control-M, and Splunk
- Working knowledge of incident and change management within an ITIL-based support model
- Experience supporting distributed data platforms including Hadoop/HMS, Kafka, and MQ
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
- Familiarity with Ansible, DWEB, or similar configuration and deployment tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Clear communication skills when working across technology and risk stakeholders
