Provide expert nursing care in a specialized unit dedicated to patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, including those who have undergone organ transplants. This role requires delivering compassionate, high-quality care to individuals facing complex gastrointestinal disorders as well as supporting med-surg and telemetry overflow needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage patient care for liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant recipients with precision and attention to detail
• Monitor and assess patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders and related health issues
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans
• Serve as a flexible resource by floating to other units as necessary
• Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and safety protocols
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Valid California RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proven experience in transplant nursing, specifically with liver, kidney, and pancreas patients
• Ability to work autonomously while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced, specialized environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
Schedule:
• Days, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Opportunities to float to other units as needed
