Job Purpose
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for independently developing and consistently redesigning/refactoring our products to adapt to the changing needs of our customers and associates. You'll be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels, working together to build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery and Execution (50%):
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with a clear understanding of the value it provides
- Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
- Consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances
- Develop test suites (functional, destructive, etc.) to enable success and rapid deployment of code to production

- Plans and Aligns (20%):
- Collaborate with other team members in agile processes

- Work with the Product Team to ensure user stories are valuable, developer-ready, easy to understand, and testable
- Deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Adapt approach and demeanor in real-time to match the shifting demands of different situations
- Relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people
- Supports and Enables (10%):
- Help grow junior engineers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks and leading technical discussions
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need to meet our minimum qualifications and possess the skills and competencies outlined below.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with front-end technology such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
- Object-oriented programming language (preferably Java)
- Relational or NoSQL database technology
- Cloud computing techniques
- CI/CD tools
- Modern software design patterns
- Security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
- Creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests
- Modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques
- Version control system
