Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NeedTech Labs is building a stealth-mode intelligence platform aimed at redefining physical safety and operational response. As the Founding CTO, you will architect the core technology and establish the engineering culture while leading the development of a resilient infrastructure and real-time risk detection systems.
Responsibilities
• Architectural Ownership: Design and build a resilient, enterprise-grade infrastructure capable of processing multimodal signal intelligence (UWB, BLE, Biometrics)
• Edge & Cloud Engineering: Develop low-latency pipelines for real-time risk detection and adaptive control loops
• AI & Logic Orchestration: Engineer models that infer intent and context, translating data into automated workflows and safety escalations
• Security by Design: Establish a privacy-first framework, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO standards from day one
• Strategic Leadership: Bridge the gap between research-level ambition and pragmatic, scalable delivery to meet pilot and global deployment milestones
Skills
• 7+ years of experience shipping scalable systems, ideally within Enterprise SaaS, IoT, AI, or mission-critical security platforms
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, streaming architectures (Kafka/Flink), and edge computing
• Proven ability to prototype rapidly in high-ambiguity environments without sacrificing long-term architectural integrity
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent 'in-the-trenches' experience)
