This position plays a vital role in accurately preparing detailed estimates for commercial drywall projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability while working independently from a remote environment.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate material and labor cost estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, insulation, and acoustical ceiling systems
• Utilize On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid to perform digital takeoffs and generate complete bid proposals
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information
• Track and manage bids from initial inquiry through project award
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and pricing tools
• Attend virtual meetings and participate in bid reviews when necessary
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial drywall estimator
• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid software is required
• Solid knowledge of drywall, metal stud framing, insulation, and acoustic ceiling systems
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required
