About the position
Responsibilities
• Deliver direct patient care including chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunotherapy administration.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and procedures.
• Assess the needs of patients undergoing infusion treatment.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer injections, IV hydration, blood products, and other treatments as assigned.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Orient and teach colleagues and peers.
Requirements
• Current license in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience administering chemotherapy and biotherapy in a pediatric setting within the last 3 years.
• 2 years of experience in an acute pediatric setting or ambulatory care pediatric infusion setting within the last 3 years.
Nice-to-haves
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Professional nursing certification (CPHON, BMTCN, or Infusion Certification preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to start peripheral IV access.
