Role Overview
The Amazon Marketplace Specialist (FBM) is responsible for the end-to-end management, optimization, and growth of the company’s Amazon Seller Central account operating under the Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) model.
This role ensures smooth marketplace operations, order fulfillment coordination, product visibility, advertising optimization, and revenue growth while maintaining compliance with Amazon’s policies and performance standards.
The specialist will manage the entire Amazon FBM lifecycle, from account setup, product listing, inventory coordination, order management, shipping workflow, customer service, advertising campaigns, analytics, and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Amazon Seller Central Account Management
- Manage and maintain the company’s Amazon Seller Central account.
- Ensure compliance with Amazon marketplace policies and standards.
- Monitor and maintain healthy Account Health Metrics, including:
- Order Defect Rate (ODR)
- Late Shipment Rate
- Pre-Fulfillment Cancellation Rate
- Manage performance notifications, policy updates, and account alerts.
- Handle case management, escalation, and account reinstatement processes if needed.
2. Product Listing & Catalog Optimization
- Create, upload, and manage product listings in Amazon Seller Central.
- Optimize listings using Amazon SEO best practices, including:
- Keyword optimization
- Title structure
- Bullet points
- Product descriptions
- Manage A+ Content and enhanced brand content.
- Upload and maintain product images, infographics, and multimedia assets.
- Manage product variations (size, color, bundles).
- Conduct keyword research to improve organic rankings.
3. Pricing & Competitive Strategy
- Monitor competitor listings and market trends.
- Implement dynamic pricing strategies.
- Manage promotional campaigns such as:
- Coupons
- Lightning Deals
- Seasonal discounts
- Ensure compliance with Amazon Fair Pricing Policy.
4. FBM Order Processing & Fulfillment
- Monitor incoming orders in Seller Central.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics partners to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Generate and manage shipping labels and shipment confirmations.
- Ensure compliance with Amazon shipping SLAs.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues.
5. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across all listings.
- Prevent stock-outs or overselling by coordinating with supply chain teams.
- Forecast demand based on sales trends and seasonality.
- Update inventory quantities regularly.
6. Customer Service Management
- Manage customer communication via Amazon Buyer-Seller Messaging.
- Respond to inquiries within Amazon’s 24-hour response requirement.
- Handle refunds, returns, replacements, and complaints.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings and seller feedback.
7. Returns & Refund Processing
- Process return requests according to Amazon return policies.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on returned inventory.
- Analyze return trends and recommend improvements.
8. Amazon Advertising (PPC Management)
- Plan, launch, and manage Amazon PPC campaigns, including:
- Sponsored Products
- Sponsored Brands
- Sponsored Display
- Monitor campaign performance metrics such as:
- ACOS
- ROAS
- CTR
- Conversion Rate
- Optimize campaigns through keyword adjustments and bid management.
9. Sales Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze Amazon business reports and sales performance.
- Track key metrics including:
- Revenue
- Conversion rates
- Buy Box percentage
- Advertising performance
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports.
10. Marketplace Growth Strategy
- Conduct market and competitor research.
- Identify opportunities to improve product ranking and visibility.
- Recommend strategies for revenue growth and marketplace expansion.
- Support new product launches on Amazon.
11. Amazon Policy & Compliance
- Ensure listings comply with Amazon’s policies and category requirements.
- Stay updated on Amazon algorithm changes and policy updates.
- Prevent and resolve issues related to restricted products or listing suppression.
12. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams such as:
- Warehouse / Fulfillment
- Marketing / Digital Advertising

Requirements
Required Experience
- 2–5 years experience managing Amazon Seller Central
- Proven experience handling Amazon FBM operations
- Experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns
- Experience with Amazon product listing optimization and SEO
- Experience managing Amazon order fulfillment workflows
Amazon Certifications (Preferred / Strong Advantage)
