Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Sterling Engineer to strengthen and evolve our B2B integration platforms, with a focus on containerized deployments and cloud-native solutions. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable integration environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support B2B integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Secure File Gateway (SFG).
- Implement and manage containerized Sterling environments.
- Deploy and maintain solutions in cloud platforms, with preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Enhance automation through programming/scripting (e.g., Python).
- Support infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation using Terraform and Helm Charts.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Implement test automation to improve reliability and release quality.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration, deployment, and runtime issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on expertise with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and/or Secure File Gateway (SFG).
- Strong background in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Cloud experience, ideally with GCP.
- Programming/scripting proficiency (Python preferred).
- Solid understanding of B2B integration concepts, file transfer protocols, and security standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Terraform and Helm Charts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks.
- Background in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of modernizing or migrating legacy Sterling environments to cloud-native platforms.
