As a Customer Service Representative II, you will play a vital role in assisting the general public with building permits and other planning and development-related matters.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative II, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Providing exceptional customer service to the general public, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues related to building permits and planning and development processes
* Assisting customers with completing the planning and development process, including providing information on building codes, permits, and other related matters
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient service delivery
* Maintaining accurate records and updating databases as necessary
* Participating in training and professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
* Working closely with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* Three (3) years of direct customer service experience
* Successful completion of all classes for any one phase of the arenaflex Employee Development Program and a passing score of 70% or higher on the phase examination within twelve (12) months of employment
* OR one (1) year as a arenaflex Customer Service Representative I, successful completion of all classes for any one phase of the Employee Development Program, and a passing score of 70% or higher on the phase examination, plus a current performance evaluation score of 4.0 or higher with no performance evaluation factors with a rating of 1 or 2
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, experience in a construction environment, building department, or permitting and development is preferred. Successful completion of college coursework in a construction field is also preferred.
**Special Requirements**
As a Customer Service Representative II, you will be required to:
* Possess or obtain within six (6) months of employment an active Florida Notary Public certification and maintain said certification during the term of employment
* Perform emergency duties as directed in the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area
