**Job Summary**
As a Project Associate in our Revenue Recovery Department, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing specialists in ensuring that our clients receive the reimbursement they deserve. This is a hybrid position that offers a mix of remote and in-office work, with a 2/3 days on/off schedule. **Key Responsibilities**
As a Project Associate, your duties will include:
* **Project Associate Related Duties**
+ Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
+ Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits
+ Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems
+ Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients
+ Running and creating reports to support revenue recovery efforts
+ Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team
+ Scanning and indexing of documents to maintain accurate and organized records
* **Additional Responsibilities**
+ Collaborating with the revenue recovery team to identify and resolve data discrepancies and errors
+ Providing exceptional customer service to healthcare providers and patients
+ Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and billing data
+ Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or data analysis) preferred
* **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in medical records management, data entry, or a related field
* **Skills**:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
+ Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* **Certifications**: Certified Medical Record Specialist (CMRS) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred
