We're committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and continuous learning, and we're excited to welcome like-minded individuals to our team. **Key Responsibilities:** As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for: * Delivering exceptional customer experiences through proactive communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills * Registering sales on assigned cash registers, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash registers, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Completing resets and revisions as directed * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assuming web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store) * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers * Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned **Essential Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in customer service or a related field preferred * 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in retail or a similar industry * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly and safely in a fast-paced environment * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities * Proficiency in using technology, including computers, smartphones, and other digital tools * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working in a retail or customer-facing environment, preferably in a similar industry * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Experience with customer service software and technology * Ability to speak multiple languages * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Proficiency in using technology, including computers, smartphones, and other digital tools * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences * Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities * Strong teamwork and collaboration skills * Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
