Description This position is part of the AbilityOne Program and is set aside for individuals who are legally blind, have significant vision impairment, or are Disabled Veterans. Qualified candidates must meet the AbilityOne eligibility requirements for vision impairment and be committed to supporting our mission of empowering individuals with vision loss.   This role is responsible for executing the contract closeout process in accordance with standard operating procedures and supervisory direction. Key duties include preparing closeout documentation for contracting officer approval, maintaining training and quality standards, and ensuring access to government systems. The position requires meeting or exceeding monthly production and accuracy standards, adhering to safety and organizational policies, and demonstrating strong task prioritization and responsiveness to time-sensitive requests. Commitment to continuous training and alignment with core organizational values is essential.   Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree required. An additional 12 credits in business are required. • Minimum two (2) + years’ experience in federal, state, and/or commercial contracting preferred. • Minimum one (1) + years of demonstrated successful supervisory experience preferred. • Experience working with federal contracts, state, or commercial contracts preferred. • Experience working with commercial, state, federal civilian, and military agencies preferred. • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is preferred. • Strong knowledge of the Ability-One program is preferred. • Strong written and oral communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. • High proficiency utilizing contract writing systems such as Procurement Desktop Defense, Con-IT, PRISM, COMPRIZON, and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) preferred. Personal Behaviors: • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, and values of VisionCorps. • Conduct self in a manner that upholds the standards of VisionCorps. • Actively participate in continuous training and skill development. • Exhibit a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and integrity in all tasks.   Key Duties and Responsibilities: Contract Administration: • Complete contracts close-out process as required by standard operating procedures and as directed by supervisor. • Prepare closeout documents for contracting officer review and approval as required by standard operating procedures. • Follow and implement all written and oral guidelines as provided by the Supervisor and/or PSD Director. • Maintain compliance with all applicable required compliance training. • Complete any additional training as directed by supervisor, PSD Director, or VisionCorps headquarters. • Maintain access to all government information systems. • Meet or exceed average monthly production quotas IAW contractual requirements. • Ensure office/work environment is maintained in accordance with safety policy. • Meet or exceed accuracy standards. • Consistently demonstrate ability to manage tasks based on priority and be responsive to requests from manager regarding time-sensitive tasks. • Adhere to organizational core values. • Proficient in utilizing Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation (FPDS-NG) (highly preferred). • Identify potential legal or contractual issues and collaborate with management to develop practical solutions. • Support management by providing insights into contractual rights and obligations, and assisting in interpreting terms and conditions. • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Contract Management. Company Compliance: • Ensure the company's proprietary interests are protected and that company policy is followed by processes such as, but not limited to, the review chain for reports, papers, and articles. • Assist in reviewing contracts and related documents to identify risky areas and confirm alignment with compliance standards. • Support the Contracts Manager in ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Strategic Partnership: • Consult with management in the development of new business or expansion of existing business opportunities. •Stay informed on commercial/government/international laws, regulations, and practices affecting contracts and related agreements.   Physical Demands: •Ability to work a minimum of full-time hours (40 hours per week). •Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle and/or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. •The ability to sit for extended periods of time is required. •Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.   Work Environment •Work in an office environment (on-site) and or work remotely (off-site). •Travel up to 10% of the time, which may include public-facing forums and company-sponsored events.   Other Special Working Conditions: •Employees who become disabled as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act must be able to perform the essential job functions (as listed) either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined by management on a case-by-case basis.
