We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Business Analyst with Private Equity domain experience and exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives. This role will support business transformation programs that integrate AI-driven insights, automation, and data intelligence into Private Equity operations.
The ideal candidate will combine strong business analysis expertise, Salesforce knowledge, data validation skills, and the ability to operate in a hybrid BA/Scrum Master capacity. Experience working on AI-enabled solutions such as predictive analytics, intelligent automation, machine learning models, or AI-powered reporting tools is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Requirement Documentation
• Engage with Private Equity stakeholders (Investment Teams, Operations, Finance, Portfolio Management) to gather business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, structured documentation including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows.
• Define functional and non-functional requirements for AI-enabled solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to align business and technology objectives.
2. AI & Data-Driven Initiatives
• Support implementation of AI/ML-based solutions for portfolio analytics, risk assessment, investor reporting, or operational automation.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to define AI model inputs, outputs, validation criteria, and success metrics.
• Assist in identifying business use cases for AI within Private Equity (e.g., predictive portfolio performance, automated document processing, sentiment analysis).
• Ensure AI solutions align with regulatory and compliance requirements.
3. Data Review, Validation & Quality Assurance
• Perform detailed data analysis and validation across investment, financial, and operational datasets.
• Validate AI model outputs and ensure accuracy and business relevance.
• Support UAT by comparing AI-driven insights with expected outcomes.
• Identify data inconsistencies, anomalies, and quality gaps.
4. Salesforce & System Enhancements
• Gather and define requirements for Salesforce enhancements, workflows, dashboards, and integrations.
• Work with Salesforce (Sales Cloud / Financial Services Cloud preferred) to support reporting and automation.
• Partner with Salesforce admins and developers to validate configurations and enhancements.
• Ensure AI-driven insights integrate effectively with Salesforce CRM workflows.
5. Agile & Scrum Role (Hybrid BA/Scrum Master)
• Write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives.
• Act as a Scrum facilitator when needed to remove blockers and drive delivery.
• Prioritize backlog based on business value and AI initiative roadmap.
6. Decision Making & Stakeholder Communication
• Provide data-backed recommendations to support investment and operational decisions.
• Communicate AI-driven insights in a simple, business-friendly manner.
• Work with senior stakeholders to align AI initiatives with strategic goals.
• Manage competing priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong experience in Private Equity / Asset Management / Investment Management.
• Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence initiatives, such as:
• Predictive analytics
• Machine learning model implementation
• Intelligent automation
• AI-powered dashboards or reporting
• Strong experience in data review, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM.
• Experience writing detailed functional requirements and user stories.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working directly with Data Science or AI Engineering teams.
• Understanding of AI governance, model validation, and risk controls.
• SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Prior experience acting as Scrum Master.
