Our goal is to maximize airlines' operational efficiency by optimizing resource use, reduce costs and increase customer experience and satisfaction. Amach is seeking a Senior-level Analytics Engineer to support the team during a period of high delivery pressure and technical transition on an initial 6-month contract. This role requires a highly versatile, SQL-first engineer who can confidently operate across both data engineering and analytics use cases. The team is currently assessing a transition from SQL Mesh to DBT (Data Build Tool) as part of broader organisational changes related to an upcoming acquisition. A key focus of this work includes improving pipeline orchestration, data quality, maintainability, and cost efficiency across the data platform. The role supports customer interaction data, AI-driven initiatives, and business-critical data delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines - Develop and optimise SQL-based data models for analytics and operational use cases - Support the evolution of the data transformation framework, including a potential migration from SQL Mesh to DBT - Improve data quality, testing, and observability practices - Work closely with analytics, product, and engineering stakeholders to deliver reliable data products - Contribute to cost optimisation and performance improvements within the data warehouse - Participate in version-controlled development workflows and code reviews - Adapt quickly to evolving tooling and architectural decisions Required Experience: - Senior-level experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or similar roles - Strong expertise in SQL and data modelling best practices - Proven experience building and maintaining production data pipelines - Experience working with cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar) - Familiarity with modern data tooling ecosystems - Experience using version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab - Comfortable working across both analytics and engineering contexts - Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving technical environments - Strong communication skills with a collaborative, delivery-focused mindset What’s in it for you:  - An opportunity to join a fast-growing company   - Options for career advancement  - Learning and development opportunities  - Flexible working environment - Competitive salaries based on experience  Equal Opportunity Employer: Amach is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
