Position Summary
The Analyst plays a key role in delivering DMA’s Managed Tax Services by performing detailed tax data analysis, exemption certificate management, and process optimization. This role supports client projects by ensuring compliance with tax regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, and leveraging tax technology solutions. The Tax Analyst collaborates with internal teams and clients to resolve complex issues, improve workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and maintain exemption certificates and related documentation.
- Analyze client data to ensure compliance with tax laws and internal standards.
- Assist with Exemption Certificate Management Solution configuration (Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters) for client projects.
- Monitor and resolve client requests; provide timely and professional communication.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and project documentation.
- Support data transformation workflows and troubleshoot issues using tax technology tools.
- Assist with process and impact analysis to identify improvements and recommend solutions.
- Provide system monitoring and break/fix support for tax solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field required.
- 1+ years of professional experience in tax, accounting, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong Excel skills preferred.
- Familiarity with indirect tax lifecycle and exemption certificate processes.
- Experience with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, OneSource) and ERP systems a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- ·Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
